Golden - Located west of Denver, Golden is a quiet suburb with a small-town feel. Those who live there describe it as a "Truman Show" esque feel and vibe to it. This area at the base of the foothills and is perfect for those who want to be close to the mountains while still being within commuting distance of downtown Denver. Golden is also home to the Coors Brewery, which offers tours and tastings for visitors. It is home to museums, open spaces, parks, shopping, dining and breweries and remains, unlike some other communities in the Denver metro, relatively untouched by time and modernity. The Clayworks project currently underway will eventually bring the addition of office, retail and apartment space on the north side of town, sponsored and developed by the Coors family.
- Sloans Lake / Sunnyside - Two pockets located just to the West and North of the downtown Denver area, Sloans Lake offers a jumping off point directly in between the foothills and downtown. Centered around the lake and ample outdoor walking paths and activity, it is a community of everything from cute bungalows, to modern townhome, condos and new construction single family homes. Plenty of activities including the Edgewater Public Market, tons of great breweries and restaurants - you'll never have to leave the area should you choose! Sunnyside is located in between the Highlands and downtown and offers a variety of architectural styles including the famed Denver Square. In Sunnyside, one can truly feel at peace with a suburbs in the city kind of feeling!
